BDC
BDC โ Blood donors club
A youth-led blood donation network saving lives across Kerala. 5,000+ volunteers responding to emergency and planned requests.

UN SDG alignment

Why we started
Blood is one of the most critical, life-saving components in medicine โ but also one of the most difficult to secure in an emergency

Blood is vital for saving lives, yet often hard to secure during emergencies โ even in urban areas.
Surgeries
Accident trauma
Cancer and dialysis treatment
Thalassemia and rare blood group cases
Instead of depending on chance or public appeals, BDC offers a systematic, human-led response mechanism โ powered by volunteers and empathy.

To ensure timely availability of safe, voluntary blood donors through a coordinated, inclusive, and technology-backed human network.

Why we started
Blood is one of the most critical, life-saving components in medicine โ but also one of the most difficult to secure in an emergency
Families undergoing long treatments often face unsafe stays and emotional strain.
Sleeping in unsafe, unhygienic areas near hospitals
Daily infection risk from public transport
Skipping meals and poor nutrition
Mental and emotional distress
Instead of depending on chance or public appeals, BDC offers a systematic, human-led response mechanism โ powered by volunteers and empathy.

To provide safe, free, and supportive shelter for poor patients undergoing long-term treatment, so that no one is left vulnerable during their journey to recovery
